College Overview

Government Medical College ESI and Hospital, Coimbatore is a premier educational institution located in Uppilipalayam, Tamil Nadu. The college is officially affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, which oversees its academic curriculum, examinations, and degree awards.

It is upgraded into medical college on 02.02.2016 and inaugurated by Prime Minister of India and Handed over to Government of Tamilnadu. The Medical College Hospital has been providing dedicated care to Eight Lakhs ESI Insured patients and their family members (25 Lakhs). Following the promulgation of the ESI Act, the Central Govt. set up the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) to administer the Scheme MBBS Course 2025-26 batch classes starts from 22nd September 2025
