UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling Rescheduled: Choice Filling Last Date 21 September
Big update for MBBS/BDS aspirants in Uttar Pradesh — the Directorate General of Medical Education & Training (DGME), UP has rescheduled the first round of online counselling for UP NEET UG 2026. If you're a candidate waiting on State Quota seat allotment, here's everything you need to know and do before the new deadline.
Why Was UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Rescheduled?
The rescheduling comes via Notice No. ME-3/2026/1705, dated 18 September 2026, issued by the Office of the Director General, Medical Education & Training, Uttar Pradesh. The revised timeline is:
- In compliance with Government Order No. 263/71-4099/1011/2022 dated 18 September 2026
- Following the order dated 16 September 2026 passed by the Hon'ble High Court, Allahabad (Lucknow Bench) in Writ-C No. 9943/2026
This directly affects admissions to State Quota seats in MBBS and BDS courses across government and private medical/dental colleges, institutes, and medical universities in Uttar Pradesh.
Important: Previous Allotment Stands Cancelled
If you received a seat allotment on 7 September 2026, note this carefully:
All admissions based on the earlier allotment dated 07.09.2026 have been declared invalid.
This means every eligible candidate must go through the choice-filling process again as per the new schedule below — there is no carry-forward of the previous allotment.
