What the notice confirms

Registration and session application for CAP Round 3 open on 22 September 2026 and close on 26 September 2026 at 6:00 pm. The notice separately fixes deadlines for payment, document upload, online verification, merit-list publication, grievances, preference submission, selection-list publication, and physical joining.

The State CET Cell says candidates should use the official NEET UG 2026 admission portal for the course process and monitor the Maharashtra State CET Cell website for official notices and updates.

CAP Round 3 timeline

Who is affected

• The schedule applies to MBBS and BDS Group A CAP Round 3 candidates.
• Candidates who cancelled or did not join a seat allotted in MBBS/BDS CAP Round 2 must unlock their application, submit it again, and make payment through candidate login if they want to participate in CAP Round 3.
• Candidates already registered who are holding a seat, or who were not allotted a seat in CAP Rounds 1 and 2, cannot register again, according to the notice.
• A candidate with joined status in AIQ Round 3 will not be considered for Maharashtra CAP Round 3 or subsequent state-counselling rounds.

Required action

1. Complete registration and session application by 6:00 pm on 26 September 2026, where registration is required.
2. Pay the registration fee by 8:00 pm on 26 September 2026. The notice states that registration is treated as complete only after successful payment.
3. Upload coloured scans of all requisite original documents and click submit by 11:00 pm on 26 September 2026. The notice warns that failure to upload and submit requisite documents can result in non-consideration of a claim or rejection of the form.
4. Check the registered-candidate list and provisional merit list on 29 September 2026.
5. If correction is needed, submit a grievance with supporting documentary proof by 11:59 pm on 1 October 2026.
6. Fill fresh preferences between 7 and 9 October 2026. The notice says CAP Round 2 choices are null and void for this round.
7. If allotted, complete physical joining with original documents, the status-retention form, and requisite fees by 5:30 pm on 14 October 2026.

Important conditions in the notice

• Joining a CAP Round 3 allotted seat is mandatory. Candidates allotted a Round 3 seat will not be considered for subsequent rounds whether or not they join that seat.
• PwD candidates must have claimed the quota at the time of NEET 2026 and must submit a PwD eligibility certificate from an MCC-authorized medical board. Candidates wishing to remove a PwD claim must email the office or raise a ticket through CAP login with reasons.
• Candidates claiming EWS must submit an EWS certificate valid for academic year 2026–27 in the Maharashtra State Government format. The notice says the Central Government format will not be accepted.
• Candidates claiming reservation should ensure that the required category documents are available, including caste certificate, caste-validity certificate, and non-creamy-layer certificate where applicable.
• NRI candidates must register on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal before 25 September 2026 for eligibility verification. The notice states that NRI candidates are eligible only for the 15% Institute Quota on merit and refers them to Notice No. 04 dated 5 August 2026 for eligibility and registration instructions.

What has not yet been scheduled

The notice says the schedule for subsequent stray-vacancy rounds will be declared later. It also states that the CAP Round 3 schedule may change on directions from MCC, AACCC, the Central Government, the State Government, or a court.
