Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 PwD Disability Certificate Guidelines
Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University has issued an important notice for PwD candidates participating in Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 State Centralised Counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions.
The counselling authority has clarified that only Disability Certificates issued by Medical Assessment Centres designated by the National Medical Commission (NMC) will be accepted for admission under the PwD category.
Candidates claiming PwD benefit in Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 counselling should therefore ensure that their disability assessment and eligibility certificate are obtained strictly from an authorised NMC-designated centre.
NMC-Designated PwD Assessment Centres in Uttarakhand
The attached list of Primary Medical Assessment Boards includes the following centres in Uttarakhand:
- Dr. Sushila Tiwari Memorial Government Hospital under Government Medical College, Haldwani
- Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun
These centres are included in the NMC/MCC list of designated Primary Medical Assessment Boards authorised to issue eligibility certificates to PwD candidates, subject to the applicable assessment guidelines.
PwD Reservation and Eligibility Certificate
The designated Primary Medical Assessment Boards issue eligibility certificates as per NMC norms to candidates seeking the applicable 5% PwD reservation in NEET counselling.
Candidates should ensure that the certificate submitted during Uttarakhand counselling is issued by an authorised assessment centre and complies with the prevailing NMC disability assessment guidelines.
What If a Candidate Is Declared Ineligible?
A candidate declared ineligible by a Primary Disability Assessment Medical Board may submit an appeal before the commencement of the respective round of NEET counselling.
The appeal can be submitted through the designated email IDs along with the candidate's preferred Appellate Disability Assessment Board.

Important Note for Uttarakhand PwD Candidates
PwD candidates should not rely on a disability certificate issued by an institution that is not included in the NMC-designated assessment centre list.
